I grew up in an entrepreneurial family, helping my parents start and run 3 different businesses from the late 70s, into the mid 90s. I love counseling/coaching and helping people and decided I wanted to have my own business (practice) as an MFT (Marriage and Family Therapist). I was only a semester and a half away from graduating when my own marriage started to fall apart. I dropped out to keep bad grades off my transcript. A short time later I was invited to coach folks how to use eBay to market their home-based business products online, back when eBay was brand new. I loved it so much, business coaching became my profession of choice.
After years of combining my time and talents with several different coaching companies, and having worked with more than 9000 clients in business, personal development, entrepreneurial mindset development, accountability, executive leadership and marketing, I made the decision it was time to start and run my own business coaching enterprise. That's how Soaring Profits Business Coaching, LLC came to be.
One of the unintended benefits of becoming a business coach after "almost" becoming an MFT, is how many times I've started out working with a business owner, and ended up doing relationship coaching as part of the process of helping their business succeed. One of my own mentors once pointed out to me how marriages often break up from a lack of money over a lack of love, x1000. Business failures often lead to depression, anxiety, addictions, conflict and divorce and sometimes even the loss of life. As a good business coach, I help save marriages-save families, and even help save lives. For me, that has become a true life of purpose and meaning.
